Miami Cigar Co. to Distribute the Highly Anticipated Upsetters brand by Foundation Cigar Co.

“I want to put Jamaica back on the map for premium tobacco.” —Nicholas Melillo

Southbury, CT July 5th, 2016 - Nicholas Melillo, owner of Foundation Cigar Company formally announces the appointment of Miami Cigar Company as the Exclusive Distributor for the long awaited UPSETTERS brand set for release just prior to the 2016 IPCPR Show in Las Vegas.

Founded by Nestor and Mariana Miranda in 1989, Miami Cigar has become one of the premier distributors of premium cigars boasting a portfolio, which includes Tatiana, Don Lino and the Nestor Miranda brands. Miami Cigar & Co. also serves as exclusive United States distributor for La Aurora, S.A. and all Viva Republica brands.

The Upsetters

Miami Cigar President, Jason Wood- “We could not be happier to be introducing this innovative product to the market. Upsetters is the perfect addition to our portfolio and we can not wait to release this product in the US.”

Foundation Cigar Company was formed by Nicholas Melillo in June of 2015 and debuted El Gueguense, The Wise Man, at the IPCPR in July of that year. Melillo has lived in Nicaragua since 2003 and has blended some of the top cigars in the industry including Liga Privada #9, T52 and Nica Rustica to name a few. Melillo formed Foundation Cigar Company to bring top quality premium cigars to connoisseurs around the world.

“The Upsetters is possibly my most exciting and thought out product to date, and for a variety of reasons, says Melillo. By using both Jamaican and Nicaraguan filler leaf, the brand pays deference to the ancient historic relationship between Jamaica and Nicaragua when the two were geologically connected by a land bridge known as the Nicaraguan Rise.”

“The Upsetters as well pays homage to the earliest known origins of tobacco cultivation and use, where the blending process originally included the infusion methods that incorporated ancient Caribbean herbs into the leaves.”

“Finally, The Upsetters persona informs Jamaica’s interesting history of hailing to the underdog-the anti-hero who battles against the odds. The Upsetters, stir things up. They are the rude boys who, in the 1960’s watched old spaghetti westerns and identified with gunslingers like Django and films like “A Fistful of Dollars.” Upsetters created reggae music, fought tyranny, battled Goliath-and smoked old-style Jamaican cigars. What a perfect fit given our industries’ current legislative climate.”

“We are anticipating rapid interest and growth with The Upsetters brand, and I’m confident that the already in-place and highly professional Miami Sales and Distribution infrastructure will spread the brand evenly with brick-and-mortars coast to coast. Above and beyond Miami’s involvement, I am supremely excited to announce the appointment of a Brand Manager for the Upsetters next week.

The Upsetters brand will be offered in 8 sizes, and will retail from $5-$12 per stick.

Amazing Camacho Facebook Post

I was truly humbled to see this  Camacho Cigars  Facebook post yesterday. Thank you!

Eight O'Clock Coffee The Original

This sample of Eight O'Clock Coffee , "The Original", came right off the supermarket shelf the other day. It's a medium roast blend that included a large volume of broken and partial beans. Actually, I was surprised by the volume of broken beans as I poured each sample into the grinder. When the bag was opened, to the nose there were rich aromas of toast and coffee, while the pour-over aromas were a mix of cocoa and warm bread. I brewed and sampled four cups of The Original to be sure of my tasting notes. On the Eight O'Clock web site they list this coffee as "sweet, fruity and well balanced." Like most other coffee reviews that's not exactly what I found. In my samples there were semi-sweet flavors of toast, nuts and earth, with a hint of cocoa as the coffee cooled. I found the coffee clean and well balanced with a medium bodied, slightly dry mouth feel. Overall, The Original, from Eight O'Clock coffee brewed a flavorful rewarding cup

Tryst No. 2 Robusto Brandy E-Cigar

Featuring e-juice made in the USA, these  Tryst  e-cigars are a pretty sweet deal. The No. 2 Robusto Brandy is another great example of a cigarette alternative that give me cigar-like satisfaction indoors or wherever I can't smoke a real cigar. Like the last Tryst reviews, I've been puffing on the No. 2 the past two days while writing. Other than its brandy flavor, this Brandy model is just like the the other No. 2's. The tapered head makes it easy to hold hands-free between your teeth, the wrapper is durable showing no signs of wear, it produces a large volume of vapor and the brandy flavored e-juice tastes fantastic.  You probably know I'm not much of a flavored cigar person, but these American made e-juices from Tryst have fantastic flavor, this brandy is really close to tasting like brandy. I've tried other flavored e-cigarette products in the past and the flavors don't compare at all to the Tryst e-cigar flavors. Add together the great taste, the
