Davidoff Cigars introduces cigars and cigarillos to its Brazilian blended Escurio Line, offering aficionados new occasions in which to enjoy a taste adventure inspired by a night in Rio.
Basel, May 2016. Davidoff will be introducing globally new formats to its successful Escurio range starting as of June 2016. New Escurio cigars include a Corona Gorda and Gran Perfecto, along with Primeros and Mini Cigarillos for those occasions where one is short on time.

These cigars follow on the heels of the acclaimed Escurio range with its Robusto format, which obtained a score of 93 and was rated the best cigar in the acclaimed Cigar Journal’s blind tasting in March 2015. “A true sweet meets spice experience, an overall masterpiece, an explosion of different notes comparable to a flavour encyclopaedia,” stated Cigar Journal.

The taste experience
The Perfecto format is cut at the foot to start at a 50 RG. The cigar intrigues when spice meets sweet as chilli pepper plays with softer, creamy notes. During the transition from the 50 to 61 RG an explosion of flavours of oak, liquorice, salt and leather takes place.

with a 20 RG to offer a similar taste experience and enjoyment as a 50 RG long filler cigar is a real challenge to any Master Blender. Eladio Diaz, Davidoff’s head Master Blender, took on the challenge
and crafted the Escurio cigarillo that is well balanced and reminds one of the typical Davidoff Escurio
flavours. With a mix of Brazilian tobaccos in the filler and the higher impact of the Brazilian binder and Ecuadorian wrapper, sweet and spicy aromas with hints of leather, wood and chilli flavours tantalize the palate.
Launch and availability
The official launch of the new Escurio cigar formats Corona Gorda, Gran Perfecto, Mini Cigarillos and Primeros is set for June 2016, after which they will be available globally.
