The Exclusivo U.S.A. Line From Regius Cigars

This is the newest line from Regius Cigars, the Exclusivo U.S.A.

Toro Extra

Covered by an oily, smooth, seamless, Colorado Claro colored wrapper with only the finest of veins this Toro extra is packed well and has a neat little pig-tail cap. There are cold aromas to the nose of fermented, fruity tobacco and the firm cold draw tastes like spicy Spanish cedar.

The first puffs are mild bodied with a sweet Chai tea flavor plus more great flavors soon join in. There are flavor nuances of nuts, coffee, raw sugar, leather and toasty caramel. The burn is razor sharp and the cigar produces a large volume of smoke. In the final third, the body jumps into the full range and the sweet mild flavors are replaced by deep rich notes of earth, damp leather, molasses, charcoal and black pepper. In the final third the burn gets wavy, bad enough it needed a quick correction. The cigar finishes it's seventy minute burn with a tasty, very full bodied mix of charcoal and molasses. Rated 92

Pressed Perfecto

The pressed perfecto is firmly packed full length and it's covered with a silky, Colorado Claro colored wrapper. The wrapper is put on seamlessly and it only shows the finest of veins. Since there's a closed foot, there was only the light scent of fresh cut grass and light nuances of caramel once the end cap was clipped.

Even though the foot was closed, lighting the cigar was a breeze. The first firm puffs provided flavors of sweet caramel and fermented tobacco. Once the burn progressed up the cigar the draw loosened up just as expected. As the razor sharp burn line progressed up the body there were other flavors of toast, leather, brown sugar, toasted brown sugar, and some white pepper that floated in and out. After seventy-five minutes the cigar finished with a tasty mix of caramel and white pepper. Although the flavor mix wasn't super complex, this was a very flavorful cigar. Rated 94

Lancero Extra

Firmly packed full length and covered by a seamless, nearly vein free Colorado Claro colored wrapper this lancero extra is a real beauty. In addition, there's a bit of tooth to the oily wrapper and the cigar is finished off with a pig-tail cap.

Checking the cold aromas, there were light notes of spice from the foot and after clipping the pig-tail cap, the free draw tasted like spiced fruit.

After toasting and lighting the foot, the cigar produced a large amount of medium bodied smoke with nuances of toast and caramel. Caramel was the predominate flavor in this cigar, but there were other smooth notes of leather, cream, raw sugar, raisin, dark brown sugar and some mild black pepper. After sixty-five minutes the Lancero Extra finished with a full bodied mix of caramel and black pepper.

Overall I thought this was a fantastic cigar. It had great flavors, a razor sharp burn line and the wrapper developed a rich oily gloss as the cigar burned. Rated 94

Fat Perfecto

This Fat Perfecto measures out at 5 ¾ x 60 x 54 and again it topped off with a pig tail cap. The Colorado Claro colored wrapper is nice, it's seamless and nearly vein free. From the cold foot there is a light spicy aroma while the free draw has bolder sweet notes of spice and fruit.

After toasting the cigar, the first medium bodied puffs had flavors of toasted cashews and leather. As the sharp burn line moved up the cigar an oil line developed and the strength began to build. There were other flavors of oak, lots of caramel, brown sugar leather and and hints of cocoa. As the burn reached the mid point the strength moved into the full bodied range. After fifty-five minutes the Fat Perfecto finished with nuances of caramel, white pepper and coffee while leaving behind a sweet leather aftertaste. Rated 93

Well there you  have it, that's the full line of the new The Exclusivo U.S.A. from Regius Cigars. I thought they were all great cigars that I could smoke all day, everyday! Give them a try.

Amazing Camacho Facebook Post

I was truly humbled to see this  Camacho Cigars  Facebook post yesterday. Thank you!

Eight O'Clock Coffee The Original

This sample of Eight O'Clock Coffee , "The Original", came right off the supermarket shelf the other day. It's a medium roast blend that included a large volume of broken and partial beans. Actually, I was surprised by the volume of broken beans as I poured each sample into the grinder. When the bag was opened, to the nose there were rich aromas of toast and coffee, while the pour-over aromas were a mix of cocoa and warm bread. I brewed and sampled four cups of The Original to be sure of my tasting notes. On the Eight O'Clock web site they list this coffee as "sweet, fruity and well balanced." Like most other coffee reviews that's not exactly what I found. In my samples there were semi-sweet flavors of toast, nuts and earth, with a hint of cocoa as the coffee cooled. I found the coffee clean and well balanced with a medium bodied, slightly dry mouth feel. Overall, The Original, from Eight O'Clock coffee brewed a flavorful rewarding cup

Tryst No. 2 Robusto Brandy E-Cigar

Featuring e-juice made in the USA, these  Tryst  e-cigars are a pretty sweet deal. The No. 2 Robusto Brandy is another great example of a cigarette alternative that give me cigar-like satisfaction indoors or wherever I can't smoke a real cigar. Like the last Tryst reviews, I've been puffing on the No. 2 the past two days while writing. Other than its brandy flavor, this Brandy model is just like the the other No. 2's. The tapered head makes it easy to hold hands-free between your teeth, the wrapper is durable showing no signs of wear, it produces a large volume of vapor and the brandy flavored e-juice tastes fantastic.  You probably know I'm not much of a flavored cigar person, but these American made e-juices from Tryst have fantastic flavor, this brandy is really close to tasting like brandy. I've tried other flavored e-cigarette products in the past and the flavors don't compare at all to the Tryst e-cigar flavors. Add together the great taste, the
